That Photographer Dude
Paul Callaway
Photographer & toy camera artist
The ease and quickness of taking a digital photograph can't be argued,
but it still takes effort on the part of the photographer to find that image
to capture. It doesn't necessarily mean hiking through the mountains like
Ansel Adams, but a little time spent looking at your surroundings is
enough to separate a snapshot from a photograph. And with the advent
of Photoshop and other photo editing software making it too easy to turn
the art of photography into graphic editing, which is fine for creating
artistically interesting images, I prefer to keep my photographs as true to
what I originally saw as possible. The world is an interesting enough
place, we just have to learn to see it.
No place is boring, if you've had a good night's sleep and have a pocket
full of unexposed film.
